This policy explains in plain language how GenCrewz handles personal information while the platform is in pre-launch.

This Privacy Policy applies to the GenCrewz website and to the GenCrewz platform (together, the “Service”). GenCrewz is in pre-launch, so this policy may be updated as the Service develops. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create an account we may collect details such as your name, contact details, the professional role you select and other information you choose to add to your profile.
Professional profile and portfolio information
Experience, credits, images, videos, documents and other showcase material that you choose to add to present your professional work.
Project and workflow information
Information created as you use the Service, such as productions you create or join, roles, invitations, engagement and contract details, files and notes shared within a project.
Communications
Messages and notifications exchanged through the Service, and messages you send to us.
Device and technical information
Technical information such as device type, operating system, app or browser version, IP address, and logs needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Service.
Payment-related information
Where payment services are enabled, payment-related information (for example transaction references and amounts) may be processed. Payment card or bank credentials are handled by authorised third-party payment providers and are not intended to be stored by GenCrewz. Payment services for professional engagements are not currently production-enabled.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate and improve the Service and its features.
- To create and display your professional presence and to enable project collaboration.
- To communicate with you about your account, the Service and support requests.
- To keep the Service safe, prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
- To process payments and related records when payment services are enabled.
3. Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed to run the Service. This includes other users according to the visibility you choose and the projects you take part in, and service providers that help us operate the Service (such as hosting, infrastructure, communications and, when enabled, payment providers). We may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.
4. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes and enforce our terms. When information is no longer needed we aim to delete or anonymise it.
6. Your choices
- You can review and update much of your profile information within the Service.
- You can control what you add to your professional presence and portfolio.
- You can contact us to ask about, correct or request deletion of your information, subject to legal and operational limits.
7. Children and minors
The Service is intended for adults and professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can address it. Productions involving minors must follow applicable law and guardian consent requirements.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way.
